Corrie Ten Boom’s quote, in the attached picture, certainly can stir a lot of thoughts.  There are not many people who like the unknown. Almost everyone I know wants a “sure thing” or at the least, they want to live in a world that is predictable and somewhat guaranteed…but is that really possible?
I got up today and I feel fairly certain I know what is going to happen…but why do I feel that way?
I know what season it is so the weather is somewhat predictable. I know the day of the week so I feel like there is some normalcy of what the day will bring. I am aware of the cultural and political environment in which I live so I feel like I know what’s going to happen. But how many times has your world been turned upside down because of unknown events that could send you into a tailspin?
Do you remember the old song that says in part, “Many things about tomorrow, I don’t seem to understand. But I know Who holds tomorrow and I know Who holds my hand”?
So as the quote says, “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
